Auto Expo 2016: Maruti Suzuki looking at Transformotion

Maruti Suzuki is looking at transformation of the products and technology, safety, network and retail experience. Hence, this year’s theme for the Auto Expo is Transformotion. In the recent years, Maruti Suzuki had launched the Auto Gear Shift at the last Auto Expo. This technology has even trickled down into the Alto K10, Wagon R, DZire diesel and of course the Celrio, where it made its debut.

The smart hybrid technology by Suzuki (SHVS) is another technology that has helped the company to achieve good fuel efficiency. This technology is so far has been used on the Ciaz and the Ertiga. This is a transformotion to Maruti Suzuki 2.0. The company has seen a hike in its market share from 38% to 47% from 2011-12 to last year. The company is looking at growing further with new facilities, new products and technology and superior sales and service network. The company will be launching 15 new products util 2020 and the Gujarat plant will be functional by 2017.This year the company has 100 Nexa showrooms and next year it will be 200. The company is looking at expanding further in reach, products and even technology.
