Audi’s new A4 debuted at Detroit this year. Four months down the line, the carmaker has now readied the A4L for the Chinese market. This stretched model will be specifically tailored for China.
Design cues of the A4L are in sync with the regular A4 and this means that the version uses the same fascia too. Audi’s A4L is up for an anticipated reveal at the Beijing Auto Show that gets under away starting April 25th. While the A4L will turn out to be longer by 8.8cm than the regular model, the extra space generated as a result will translate into better legroom for the rear passengers.
Audi’s A4L will be available in two variants. There will be a 40TFSI version that will sport a 2.0-litre petrol motor which makes 190bhp. And a 45TFSI mill that’s expected to have 252bhp on tap. Both engines will use a seven-speed automatic transmission and the 45TFSI version will have Quattro too. Prices, when launched in mid-2016, are quoted to range from 270,000 to 550,000 yuan (Rs 27.75 lakh to Rs 56.53 lakh).
