The Audi Q7 with a petrol powerplant to its Indian debut tomorrow.
The petrol-powered Q7 is powered by a 2.0-litre TFSI unit producing 249bhp and 370Nm. The power ischanneled to a quattro all-wheel-drive system via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The off-roader is expected to be offered in 40TFSI and 45TFSI trims. The latter would have a higher power output. It is expected to put out 329bhp and 440Nm. The eight-speed transmission and quattro will be standard.
There will be no visual differences between the petrol-powered Q7 compared to its oil-burner counterpart. Audi is expected to offer the Q7 petrol in one top-of-the-line Technology trim. The SUV will come loaded with features like the virtual cockpit, Audi MMI infotainment system and of course,the multi-zone climate control.
Audi is expected to price the petrol Q7 around Rs 3-4 lakhs lower than the equivalent diesel model. It will put the petrol Q7 in a price range of around Rs 75 lakhs. This would position it between the likes of the BMW X5 xDrive35i, Mercedes-Benz GLS400 and the Land Rover Discovery HSE Luxury petrol variant.
