Audi Sport is developing eight RS models and will have them ready for the international market within 24 months.

Audi Sport plans to introduce 8 new models

Audi Sport officials confirmed this to reporters at the New York Motor Show while they were introducing the RS3, RS5 Coupe, and TT RS for the North American market at the show this week. It essentially means that buyers can rejoice as RS models are extreme machines built with the knowledge they’ve acquired during their years of experience in motorsports.

Also, officials added that RS models were earlier introduced towards the end of the product’s life cycle. But that’s changed as newer RS models are now going to be built alongside their regular series, which is the way the latest RS3 has come to be. As a matter of fact, Audi has admitted that not all of their models will get an RS version because they believe the RS moniker is unique as it offers an over-the-edge experience. Frankly said, it’s quite unlike the brand’s ‘S’ versions that are more attainable and less challenging from a research and development perspective.

Audi Sport envisages a strong demand for RS models in the United States, which, in turn, is making Audi contemplate on RS versions for their crossovers too. They also expect to see this trend trickle across the world in time to come. There’s no doubt that we just can’t wait to see what we’re in for from the Audi RS stable in the following months.
