Audi Q2 is targeted to be positioned below the Audi Q3 SUV, which is its bestselling utility vehicle worldwide. It has been known that the designing cues of this 2015 Audi Q2 draws inspiration from Quattro rally car and the Volkswagen’s CrossCoupé study. The SUV will be based on Volkswagen Group’s new transverse-engine MQB platform, which made a recent launch with the third generation Audi A3 and will also be a part of the 2017 Audi Q3.

The automaker is expected to roll out the SUV in two petrol engines and three diesel engines. While the two 1.4L petrol engines will be fabricated to deliver a peak power of 120bhp and 170bhp, the 1.6L diesel engine will deliver 110bhp power and rest of the two 2.0L diesel engines will be outpouring 150bhp and 180bhp of top power.

The SUV will be endowed with a sporty and trendy appeal with its concept version styled three-door body while the company is still deliberating on the final layout of the production version, which will make a global debut in 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Audi Q2 will be targeted to rival out the Mini Countryman with its unique exteriors, spacious interiors and high performance and fuel efficiency.
