      Audi India registers sales surge of 66.02 per cent in November

      The Indian subsidiary of the Germany based leading luxury car maker Audi has reported a massive surge of 66.02 per cent in sales during the month of November 2011. During this month, company sold 425 units of its luxury cars in the Indian market as against 256 cars sold in November 2010.

      The company has already crossed the previously set sales target for this calendar year while the sales of last month of this year yet to be included in the figures. In the period of January 2011 to November 2011, the company registered a sales surge of 83.34 per cent to 5,117 units as compared to the sales of 2,791 units in the same period last year.

      While commenting on the company’s performance during the month, Audi India Head Michael Perschke said, "Given our outstanding performance in the first eleven months of the year, we are well poised to finish the year strongly by exceeding our expectations yet again. We attribute this growth to our continued focus on introducing an energetic product line, qualitative network growth and strong brand pull."

      Audi is currently third largest luxury car seller in the country following its German arch rivals BMW and Mercedes Benz at first and second positions, respectively. The company aims to top the sales charts in the luxury car segment in the Indian market by year 2014.
