      Audi India registers massive sales jump of 83.77 percent in September

      The Indian unit of the Germany based leading luxury car maker Audi, has registered a sales jump of 83.77 percent in the month of September 2011. The company managed to sell a total of 555 units of its cars during the month as compared to 302 units sold in the same month last year.  

      In the first nine months of this year (January to September), the company sold a total of 4,210 units of its cars in the Indian market as compared to 2,178 units sold in the same period last year, accounting for a sales surge of whopping 93.3 percent. 
       
      Commenting on the company’s performance during the month, Mr. Michael Perschke said, "We attribute this phenomenal growth to our continued focus on introducing an energetic product line, qualitative network growth and strong brand pull.”
       
      Audi India, which is currently the third largest luxury car maker in the Indian market, aims to become the top car maker in the country by the year 2014. In last one year, the company has launched as many as six new car models in the Indian market. After strengthening its position in the metro cities of the country, the firm now looks to expand its foot prints in the Tier II and Tier III cities.
