The Germany based leading luxury car maker Audi is all set to launch its super luxury coupe – Audi A7 – in the Indian market on 11th of May, 2011. The car is expected to carry a price tag of Rs. 65 lakh.
The car is speculated to be launched in both diesel and petrol versions. The petrol version of the car is expected to be rolled-out with a 3.0L TFSI Quattro engine which is capable of producing a peak power of 300 PS at 5250-6500 rpm and delivers a peak torque of 440 Nm at 2900-4500 rpm. On the other hand, the diesel version of the car comes equipped with 3.0L TDI Quattro engine that delivers a peak power of 245 PS at 4000-4500 rpm and top torque of 500 Nm at 1400-3250 rpm.
Audi is currently the third largest luxury car maker in the Indian market, following BMW and Mercedes at 1st and 2nd spot, respectively. In past few months, the company has launched a series of new cars in the country including the likes of Audi A8 and Audi R8. The Audi cars are available in the rice range of Rs 27.11 lakh to Rs. 1.47 crore.
