Aston Martin seems to be working hard on bringing the DBX crossover concept to reality. The DBX concept was showcased at Geneva last year and the British marque has already earmarked a site where the car will be manufactured.
Aston Martin has chosen a site in St Athan, South Wales where a new factory will be built with investments expected to hit 200 million pounds (Rs 2,000 crore). This will be Aston Martin’s second factory in the country after its headquarters in Gaydon. The South Wales factory will build the DBX concept by 2020 along with the new DB11 sports car which will be showcased next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
The construction of the factory is expected to commence in 2017. Aston Martin aims to build close to 3000 vehicles every year at the new facility from 2020, most of which will be exported across the globe.
