This exotic looking supercar is Aston Martin’s Vanquish S Volante. A car that has been crafted keeping in mind the design lines of the standard Volante and the Vanquish Coupe.

Under the hood is a similar 6.0-litre V12 engine which goes into most of the brand’s range, but is now retuned to produce slightly more than 600bhp for the European market. On the other hand, the rest of the world will have to make do with 580bhp for now. Sources suggest that this car can sprint to 100kmph in less than 3.5sec, and go on to clock a top speed of 323kmph.

Other than the obvious 20bhp increase in power over the standard Volante (570bhp), the Vanquish S Volante also benefits from revised inlet manifolds, a more refined eight-speed Touchtronic II gearbox, and four exhaust tips. Reports claim that the car weighs just 1,739kg due to the aluminium and carbon fibre construction. There’s also talk of the weight distribution being an impressive 51:49 per cent (front/rear).

Currently, there’s no confirmation as to how much the Vanquish S Volante will cost, but rumours state that it will be more expensive than the Coupe version. More on this in the time to come, so stay tuned.
