Indian truck manufacturer, Ashok Leyland has bagged an order of Rs. 120 crore from Rivigo – a logistic company. The order is for 500 fully-built vehicles driven by the iEGR (Intelligent Exhaust Gas Recirculation). The technology is indigenously developed by Ashok Leyland to achieve BS-IV emission norms. The technology iEGR was launched early this year in April 2017, for engines which develop up to 400bhp - a technology that no other OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) has achieved globally.

Anuj Kathuria, President - Global Trucks, Ashok Leyland, said, “Ashok Leyland has been an integral part of Rivigo’s story since the beginning of their journey. They trust us as their partners and we are glad that we have been able to deliver. This fresh order is a testimonial to the Indian, intelligent and innovative offerings of iEGR BS-IV technology, which translates to, ‘No Adblue’, ‘No Electronics’ and ‘Better Mileage’. Today, our BS-IV iEGR vehicles are giving up to 10% better fuel economy when compared to our BS-III range. This is helping all our customers improve their total cost of operations by up to 15%, translating to improved profits.”
