Apollo Automobil has released more details about the upcoming IE hypercar along with a few vague teaser images.
Codenamed the IE, the new hypercar has been developed from the ground-up, in collaboration with Manifattura Automobili Torino. The IE hypercar will have a limited production of just 10 units with a high level of customisation for exclusivity. The IE will have a bespoke, naturally aspirated V12, sitting snugly in a full carbon fibre chassis. As we know, from the earlier teaser, the hypercar will be rocking a large carbon fibre wing at the rear, flared rear fenders and a triad of centrally mounted funky exhaust tips. The latest set of teaser images show a new carbon fibre diffuser, a front splitter and some vague clay mouldings.
It’s early days yet and very few details of the hypercar are available at the moment. However, the IE, confirmed to be a new generation of hypercar breed, is speculated to be a road going version of the Apollo Arrow Concept. The hypercar will tip the scale at around 1360kg and with the massive power plant, expect the IE to be a ferocious performer. Apollo states that the IE is more powerful than the original concept car which had a 1000horsepower from its crazy V8.
The first deliveries are scheduled to start in early 2018. Apollo will present the production spec IE to a selected group of ‘enthusiasts’ in a private and highly exclusive event held at an undisclosed location in Europe later this month.
