Notably, besides Karizma R, news about the expected launch of all-new Hero Karizma ZMR 2013 are also rife. Mr. Munjal had reportedly reported about the engine, “There is a lot of innovation happening in our own R&D and we will bring it to the market through some of the products we will launch. We have applied for patents for those innovations. This is showcasing our capability. We will be launching the new Karizma variants which are redesigned and the engine made more powerful with our partner EBR. This is the first commercial production model in which they have played a big part in development.”

Many industry experts have pointed out that all-new Hero Karizma ZMR 2013 will not be all together different from the R model. As per sources, the all-new version, Hero Karizma R 2013 would be distinctly more stylish than its existing model, which is available in the market for domestic customers. In the new model, exteriors have been tweaked to offer it a bold stance. Hero Karizma R 2013 is expected to feature the same twin projector headlamps that the new Karizma ZMR 2013 model will come packed with. This is a welcoming news for bike enthusiasts as Bajaj Pulsar 220, ZMR’s biggest rival, earlier had got appreciation for its efficient projector headlamps. Other features that have been incorporated in the upcoming bike are over sized set of trafficators, split seats and twin grab-rails, mounted outer rear view mirrors and new “R Premium Sports” decals.

Coming down to its engine specifications, the new R model will not be powered by a fuel injected engine. Many experts believe that the engine of the old unit will be retained. However, the power aspects may be tweaked a little to give more output as compared to the previous generation model. The suspension system and wheels of the existing model are expected to be carried over to this new variant. Here, however, despite some resemblance, the new ZMA-R is supposed to come with a new engine cowl, O-Ring chain and clip-ons to enhance the overall driving experience. It must be noted that the price of the all-new Hero Karizma has not been revealed yet, but analysts are expecting to see the same price tag, which is prevailing in the current generation model. Notably, the ex-showroom price of the current generation model is around Rs. 89,000.
