      All new Bajaj Pulsar 200NS unveiled in India, to be launched in April 2012

      The country’s leading bike maker Bajaj Auto has launched its all new Pulsar 200NS in the Indian auto market, adding one more model in the range of its popular brand Pulsar. According to Bajaj Auto Chief Technology Officer Abraham Joseph, the new Bajaj Pulsar 200NS is not only superb in performance but also carries better fuel economy and emission levels.

      Speaking to the reporters in Mumbai at the occasion on the launch of this new Bike, Bajaj Auto Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj, said, "The Pulsar 200NS is best middle-class sports bike. It will be commercially launched beginning next fiscal through 600 dealers across the country. The price is expected to be below Rs 1 lakh."

      The bike comes powered by a SOHC 4-valve triple spark engine that comes controlled by an advanced electronic control unit. The new engine of the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS is an advanced version of the company’s trademark DTS-i (Digital Twin Spark-ignition) technology, which it had introduced in the Indian market in year 2003.

      Incorporated with a six speed gear box, the new Pulsar 200NS will be carrying liquid cooling technology. It will be produced at the company’s Chakan Plant near Pune.

      While further elaborating the strategy behind the launch of this new bike, Bajaj Auto’s President-Motorcycles, K Srinivas, said "Pulsar has now celebrated a 'decade of dominance' with 10 years of leadership in the Indian performance motorcycle market. These sporty iconic motorcycles have been a testimony to the company's engineering prowess. The Pulsar 200NS showcases next leap in technology and design and will set the standard for others to follow."
