Following the global debut of the standard A5 range, Audi is now working on an all-new RS5. The latter is a performance-focused iteration of the regular A5, designed to take on the likes of Mercedes C coupe and BMW M4.
The next-gen RS5 was recently caught testing at the arduous Nurburgring circuit in Germany. The prototype is seen wearing heavy camouflage over the muscular looking bumpers and mega wide fenders. The massive oval exhausts also hint at the performance potential of this upcoming model.
Sadly, Audi is likely to ditch the existing naturally aspirated V8 for a more efficient twin-turbo V6 engine. The downsized engine though will pack in plenty of punch and is expected to develop close to 460bhp of power.
We expect Audi to fully reveal the new RS5 early next year as one of its showstoppers at the 2017 Geneva Show.
