      All-new 2014 Kawasaki Z1000 might soon make its debut in India

      There is a good chance that the all-new 2014 Kawasaki Z1000, which made its global debut earlier this month, might be subjected to a much anticipated launch in India soon, sources have claimed. However, any time-line as to the exact date, month and year are still to be made public by its manufacturer. Quite obviously, on its inception in the Indian automobile market, the all-new Z1000 will be sold by Bajaj Auto Ltd, which is Kawasaki’s Indian distributor.

      The all-new Z1000 bike casts an aggressive and ferocious appearance, which is likely to attract youngsters. This bike boasts of enhanced performance levels to create a perfect coherency with its meaner looking bodywork. As such, bike lovers and enthusiasts can surely expect a crackling performance from this stylish high-end bike.

      Reports suggest that Indian version of this all-new bike is more likely to be powered by a revised 1043 cc DOHC liquid-cooled 16-valve inline-four motor one that powered the earlier version. For the 2014 model, this powerful engine is expected to offer a peak power of up to 140 bhp at 10000 rpm and maximum torque of up to 111 Nm at 7300 rpm. This bike features additional airbox vents along with new cylinder connecting passageways for achieving an enhanced mid and high-end performance. The ECU of this 2014 Kawasaki Z1000 has been tweaked a bit for providing sharper throttle response. The bike also features an updated cool air intake system with a new non-woven air filter element for ensuring better flow at high-RPM.

      This Z1000 bike is likely to flaunt a number of new features to boost the driving experience. It will possess a uniquely aggressive "Sugomi" styling to achieve a distinct predatory look. This bike boasts of a Big Piston Fork (SFF-BP) that offers light weight, easily adjustable and excellent wheel control to deal with extremely high forces as associated with an aggressive riding. The new one-piece "monobloc" radial-mount front brake calipers have been provided that offer superb braking power and control. This bike is also expected to come with a premium laser-etched Kawasaki logo along with a black alumite finish. The new supersport-style 6-spoke lightweight aluminium wheels further contribute to the Z1000’s sporty image. These specially designed wheels help in reducing rotating inertia and thus save around 3.3 lbs. of unsprung weight.

      Furthermore, all-new 2014 Kawasaki Z1000 bike boasts of a shorter final-drive gearing facility to provide quicker response and improved riding excitement. A new taller 6th gear helps in maintaining the highway comfort while driving this bike. The Z1000 comes with a new analog plus digital instrument cluster that includes a large tachometer and a digital display for providing information on current bike conditions and settings. An upright "streetfighter" riding position ensures excellent leverage on controls along with a commanding view of road ahead.

      Kawasaki's official website, while talking about this all-new bike’s styling factor, introduces with, “The 'it' factor is hard to describe, but you always know it when you see it. Likewise, the new 2014 Kawasaki Z1000 has a hard-to-define 'street-fighter' style that is impactful enough to ensure everyone knows they’re seeing something special. In a significant departure from the concealing bodywork of its sport-bike predecessor, the new Z1000 strips-off unnecessary covers and bodywork to expose the superior functionality of its parts.”

      Kawasaki
