Geneva has been chosen as the place for the debut of some features of the Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe. The sports car has now been provided with a Hi-Fi sound system, bi-LED headlights, a special car cover and car care kit and cruise control and parking sensors. The carbon fibre monocoque was engineered to support the removal of the roof with a number of tweaks. The 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, resultantly, needs only the addition of a carbon fibre hoop roll, beefed up upper body brackets and a new crossbeam in the mill.

The Alfa Romeo 4C Spider has utilized the same 1.75-litre turbocharged four-cylinder mill as the coupe can muster 237 hp and 258 pound-feet of torque. With this powertrain, the car can reach 98 kilometres per hour from rest in a matter of 4.1 seconds. The engine is mated to a paddle-shift dual-clutch transmission, which can withstand gear changes at a brisk 130 milliseconds at full throttle. Also, it offers a range of driving modes, wherein the engine can be optimized according to the transmission, engine, and electronic stability.
