Honda is reportedly looking forward to assemble more big bikes in India after its success with CBR650F. It has planned to go on the same route with its CBR500R, as per the reports received. Sources have hinted that the two-wheeler manufacturing giant is planning to go on the same way, that is, the Completely Knocked-Down (CKD) route with CBR500R. Incidentally, it had a huge success with CBR450R on the same path.

The first glimpse of this bike was revealed at the 2014 Auto Expo as well as the CBR650 was also shown. Both the bikes had their own set of attractions and grabbed many eyeballs. Super sporty looks, power-packed performance and a superior stance are some of the high aspects of these bikes. There is a certain lack of motorcycles in the sub-600 cc segment and these bikes are the best bets to fill that space.

CBR500R is the fully-faired version of the Honda 500 cc trio. It is powered by the same 500 cc mill, which is present in the Honda CB500X and the CB500F. Mated with a six-speed gearbox, the engine is capable of churning out 47 bhp of power and a torque of 43 Nm. Once all the market tendencies and researches are completed, Honda will start importing the bike through the CKD route in India.
