Maruti Suzuki’s Swift DZire is still the highest selling compact sedan despite several new entrants in this segment. Tata Zest, Ford Figo Aspire, Hyundai XCent and the Honda Amaze are the sedans that are competing with the DZire. So, why is it still the best selling sedan in India? We tell you all the reason why should you consider the Swift DZire:

      Premium interior styling:

The DZire has premium looking interiors and this is one of the key reasons to consider buying this compact sedan. The interior panels are shared with the Swift, however the DZire has black and beige combination that makes it look premium. The other players also have stylish interiors, but it is the DZire that is our choice when it comes to interiors. It isn’t very practical as compared to the competition, but it has the right balance of things that are needed. This makes the DZire a good pick when it comes to interiors.

      Sufficient Features

The Swift DZire has sufficient features that a car buyer will look at before buying. This makes it an ideal package for car buyers. The DZire after its facelift got features like keyless entry, push start and stop, reverse parking sensors, in-dash music system, bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted audio controls, rear AC vents, dual airbags and even ABS.

      Powerful and fuel-efficient engines

The highest selling fuel-type in compact sedans is petrol and DZire’s 1.2-litre K-Series petrol is the most drivable of the lot and the diesel is highly fuel-efficient one with a mileage in excess of 25km/l. there is also the Honda Amaze, but buyers pick the DZire for other aspects too. Driving the DZire is stress-free and this makes it a great option to consider.

      Lower ownership cost:

The DZire being a Maruti has a low cost of ownership with highly affordable spare parts that are easily available as well. Maruti Suzuki has the largest dealership network in the Indian car market today and this adds on to the convenience.

      Better resale:

The resale value of the Maruti Suzuki DZire is much higher than any of the competition. This means you lose out lesser money when you sell it, when you compare it to the competition.

      Downsides:

      Lesser boot space

The DZire has the smallest boot space of all, and this makes it less practical than competition. This is one aspect that has been done deliberately as it had to be made under 4 metres.

      Design

The design of the DZire isn’t something that is highly appearing as the boot slapped looks like an after thought. It does look a bit out of proportion with the large hood and small boot.

      Too common

If you want a vehicle that looks different and stands out, then it isn’t the DZire you need to pick. It is the highest selling sedan and can be spotted very easily.
