December marks the end of the calendar year and is the last month for the car makers to launch the cars slated for this year. So if you haven’t bought a new car yet this festive season, here is a list of cars you might be interested in.
1. Nissan GT-R
The Nissan GT-R is the latest machine in the Skyline series that has gained a cult following owing to its mix of affordability and performance. The R35 doesn’t get the Skyline badge but continues to get the mind-numbing performance at a price that can certainly be termed affordable for its abilities. The GT-R will make its debut on December 2.
2. Volvo V40 facelift
Earlier this year, Volvo has announced the arrival of the Volvo V40 facelift. Since it is an update, the mechanicals and the body shell will remain the same. It will get the new Thor’s hammer headlamps and a reworked fascia to resemble the XC90 and the S90 along with updated interior. It will also get the new Volvo infotainment system.
3. Volkswagen Passat GTE
We have driven the Volkswagen Passat GTE already and were promised that the flagship sedan form the German car maker will make its India debut in 2016. We expect the hybrid D-segment sedan to be launched this month. It will compete with the likes of the Toyota Camry Hybrid and the Accord Hybrid along with the Skoda Superb.
4. Volvo XC90 R-Design
The XC90 has been Volvo’s most successful launch in India till date. The Swedish car maker has already launched the flagship T8 Hybrid and is now slated to bring the R-Design trim to India in the month of December. Powered by the standard 2.0-litre diesel engine, the R-Design is a plush XC90 with new alloys, premium interior and outspoken styling.
