Multi Utility Vehicles (MUV) has been an ideal choice for families throughout the globe. The MUV's are not just comfortable, but also are good on space and safety parameters. Some of the prominent national and international car-makers have been catering to this segment for quite a while in the country with much success.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been a huge hit since its inception in the country a while ago. The MUV from Maruti is available in Petrol, Diesel and CNG variant. The petrol version is powered by 1373 cc K-Series Petrol VVT engine that generates about 95 Ps of power with 130 Nm of torque. The diesel version gets a 1248 cc DDiS Diesel engine that generates about 90 Ps of power with 200 Nm of torque. The CNG variant is powered by 1373 cc K-Series Petrol VVT engine that generates about 82 Ps of power with 110 Nm of torque. For the interiors, the MUV gets a sporty dashboard, chrome door handles, steering wheel with audio controls and stylish meter cluster. The occupant area looks elegant and is designed for maximum comfort.
Toyota's top-selling MPV Innova has come with a fresh face-lift. The car is available in two engine variants - BS III, 2494cc, 2KD-FTV, Diesel with Turbocharger, 4 in-line cylinder and BS IV, 2494cc, 2KD-FTV, Diesel with Intercooler Turbocharger, 4 in-line cylinder variant. The MUV is available in 7 seater and 8 seater variants. The interiors are comfortable, spacious and look elegant with classy dual tone seats with leather trim. On the exterior front, the MUV gets a bigger grill that is well complimented with stylish chrome lined fog lamps. The car has also received contemporary body graphics that give it a premium look.
The yet to launched Honda Mobilio MPV shall be available in Petrol as well as Diesel variants. The petrol version shall be powered by 1.5 Liter petrol engine. The diesel variant also gets a 1.5 Liter turbo diesel engine. Both the engines have been mated to 5 Speed manual gearbox. Based on unofficial reports, the Mobilio MUV is expected to deliver a fuel efficiency of about 25.8 kmpl. Details on the pricing aspect have not been revealed for now and may only be known post its launch in the country.
