The 2020 MINI John Cooper Works hatchback will be launched in the Indian market tomorrow. It’s the latest version of the hottest Mini you can buy today and will be offered here as one top-of-the-line model via the CBU route.
It’s a hot Mini so, in the looks department, the British automaker has gone all out. It has got sporty bumpers, chunky wheels, contrast coloured roof and that famous oversized go-kart silhouette that has defined the Mini range. This being a top-of-the-line Mini, it comes with all the bits and bobs present in the Mini feature list. It’s an all-black affair in the cabin with JCW inserts and of course, the famous JCW button on the centre console.
Powering this high performance Mini, is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 228bhp and with a 0-100kmph time of 6.3 seconds and it is likely to be offered in the Indian market with the eight-speed AT.
We expect that Mini will price this JCW hot hatchback in the range of Rs 55 lakhs to Rs 60 lakhs (on-road). In terms of proper competition, the much lower priced Volkswagen GTI is a direct rival to this Mini JCW.
