The 2019 Audi A6 has been unveiled and will launched later this year. It's a fifth generation for the car since the brand was launched in 1994.

Design

Given how car designs have become iconic, Audi has decided to evolve the design of the A6 rather than change it altogether. Where the old car had the rounded lines fromof the previous design philosophy, this one has become sharper, taut and muscular in nature. In the larger scheme of things, it fits in line with the likes of the A4, A6 and even the smaller A3 sedan.

Digital dashboard

The A6 has moved to a full digital dashboard thanks to the three massive screens for the instrument cluster, MMI system and now even the climate control and cabin function display. The virtual cockpit and MMI system has been an Audi staple for a while now while the cabin function display is a new addition to the package.

Mild-hybrid system

All models of the A6 will now come fitted with a mild hybrid system which works in conjunction with the driver assistance systems to provide a start-stop system for the new A6. We believe that a full hybrid system is also on the cards for the A6 and could most likely be launched towards the start of next year.

Engines

At the time of being launched, the A6 will be offered with a 3.0-litre TFSI petrol and a 3.0-litre TDI diesel. The former gets and eight-speed AT while the latter will get a seven-speed AT. Quattro will be standard for both models. These are expected to be followed by atleast one petrol and diesel four-cylinder motors for the A6 range.
