The 2018 Dacia Duster has been spotted testing in Spain. This is the first time the second-generation model has been seen undergoing trials.
The test mule hints at a new Duster that will retain the profile of the current model. It carries over the distinctive grille, roof rails and the A-pillar profile. The wheels however, feature a new design while the headlamps seem rectangular-ish, similar to the Nissan Terrano. Inside, we can expect an upgrade for the infotainment system, with a touchscreen display. A mildly revised version of this same car will be launched in India with a Renault badge, soon after its global debut. We do not expect any change in the powertrain options.
The Duster has been a big hit amongst the audience looking for an affordable and sensible crossover, both in India and globally. With the current Duster being a seven year old model, we can expect the new generation model to be launched in the second half of this year, as a 2018 model. And there will also be a new Nissan Terrano based on this same model.
