The iconic Mustang brand is all set to go one step ahead with fresh upgrades for 2018. The new model gets a sleeker design, advanced technology and improved performance figures in comparison to its predecessors. Ford claims that the new model is the most advanced Mustang ever produced.

The new Mustang will be powered by a 2.3-litre EcoBoost four-cylinder engine offers better performance figures as compared to the older 3.7-litre V6 engine. Ford’s transient overboost technology is reportedly uniquely calibrated for Mustang, thereby offering more torque for better acceleration. Ford claims that the legendary 5.0-liter V8 engine has been heavily reworked for better performance. Apart from manual option, both the engine options will also be offered with new 10-speed automatic transmission.

The 2018 Ford Mustang looks more athletic due to a lower, remodeled hood and grille that renders it a leaner look. The aerodynamics has been improved and the vehicle now gets new upper and lower front grilles, and a new position for hood vents. For the first time the entire Mustang line will feature all-LED front lights including signature lighting, low-beams, turn signals, efficient projector high-beams and available fog lamps. The rear section gets new LED tail lamps, new bumper and performance spoiler. The Ecosboost variant gets Dual-tip exhaust as standard, while the V8 Mustang GT gets quad-tip exhaust as standard.

Inside, the new 2018 model gets premium upholstery, centre console in new hand-stitched wrap and contrast stitching. The vehicle also gets aluminium finished door handles, rings and bezels. Additionally, the instrument panel now sports a new Mustang badge, while the heated steering wheel is offered optional.
