Reports indicate that the next-gen Nissan Micra will have a variety of petrol and diesel engine options ranging from 1.0-litre to 1.6-litre. The upcoming car is believed to be based on some elements of the CMF-B version from the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF (Common Modular Family) platform. In terms of safety, the 2017 Nissan Micra will be loaded with all modern safety features.

In terms of design, the upcoming model borrows some design cues from the Nissan Sway Concept. The new model is expected to get a more pronounced bonnet and long sleek headlamps. The sloping roofline to the rear along with aggressive rear lights adds to its sporty appeal. However, for the India, Asia and Middle East markets, Nissan might introduce a different model. More details about the vehicle will be known during the official event.
