Under the hood, the 2017 Mini John Cooper Works Clubman is powered by JCW enhanced 2.0-litre turbopetrol engine which generates 225bhp of power (39bhp over regular Cooper S) and 350Nm of torque, thereby making it  the highest torque producing Mini to be rolled out from the company. Mated to a six-speed manual and 8-speed automatic transmission options, the vehicle sprints from 0-100kmph in just about 6.3 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 238kmph. Moreover, it claims to return a decent fuel efficiency figure of about 14.69kmpl.

For best performance, the Mini John Cooper Works Clubman gets stiffened suspension and the car is now 10mm lower than the regular version. The JCW Clubman gets the optional Variable Damper Control which offers three modes – Sport, MID and Green. These modes not just change the suspension behaviour but also adjust the engine characteristic.
