      Images of the 2016 Hyundai Tucson's brochure have surfaced on the internet giving us all the information of the upcoming SUV. The car will be launched on November 14.

      This is the third-generation of the Hyundai Tucson that will go on sale in manual (MT) as well automatic (AT) versions. It will be available in three variants - base MT, AT GL and AT GLS. Coming to its dimensions, it is 4,475mm long, 1,850mm wide and 1,660mm tall including the roof rails offered as standard across all variants. From what comes across as a very modern SUV with latest tech, the 2016 Tucson is definitely leagues ahead of its predecessor. Its sports automatic projector headlamps, LED DRLs and LED tail lamps. The top-end can be had with dual-barrel LED head lights as well. The manual versions sport 17-inch alloys wheels, while the automatic variants boast of 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

      Inside the five-seater cabin of the Tucson's entry-level trim, you will get fabric upholstery with a dual-tone black and beige theme. On the other hand, the higher-end trims get leather upholstery to add to the premium feel. Nevertheless, the eight-inch touch screen infotainment system is standard across all variants. Like the one seen in the new Elantra, this one too supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, voice recognition, Bluetooth etc. The AT GL and AT GLS trims also get keyless entry, rear AC vents, dual-zone climate control and a 10-way power adjustable driver seat. These variants also feature Hyundai's new Drive Mode Select, which has three modes - Normal, Eco and Sport to alter the throttle response and steering characteristics of the SUV. The top-of-the-line GLS, in addition, features an electric parking brake and a powered tailgate with height adjustment.

      On the safety front, the Tucson gets standard safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking camera with dynamic guidelines and rear parking sensors. Furthermore, the AT GL and AT GLS versions come equipped with front parking sensors and side and curtain airbags as well. Then the GLS, in addition, benefits from electronic stability control (ESC), vehicle stability management (VSM), hill-start assist control (HAC), downhill brake control (DBC) and brake assist as well.

      On the powertrain front, as expected, Hyundai is offering both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol trim comes powered by a 2.0-litre VTVT mill rated at max power of 153bhp at 6,200rpm and a torque of 192Nm at 4,000rpm. Under the hood of the diesel variant is a 2.0-litre CRDi unit that delivers 182bhp of power at 4,000 rpm and 400Nm of torque at 1,750-2,750 rpm. All engine options come paired to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. The claimed fuel efficiency of the petrol Tucson is 13.03kmpl for the manual and 12.95kmpl for the automatic. The manual diesel returns a fuel economy of 18.42kmpl, whereas the automatic - 16.38kmpl.

      Thanks to these images, all the specifications and features of the upcoming Hyundai Tucson are now available ahead of the official launch in India. Prospective buyers now know what they should expect from the SUV. They only have to wait for the variant-wise prices that will be revealed officially at the launch event coming week.
