Ahead of its official launch, sources have spotted the 2016 Honda Civic consignment making its way to dealerships in Malaysia. Local dealers have reportedly started accepting bookings for the tenth-gen model. As seen during 2016 Bangkok International Motor Show, the new Civic might get optional Modulo accessories for personalisation.
The 2016 Honda Civic will be offered with three engine options- base 1.8-litre, mid-range 1.5-litre Turbo and the top-end 1.5 Turbo Premium engines. The smaller four-cylinder petrol engine generates about 139bhp of power and 174Nm of torque. The bigger engines will come with turbocharged petrol units which generate about 171bhp of power and 220Nm of torque. The bigger engines will come mated to CVT with Earth Dreams technology.
In terms of features, the 2016 Honda Civic in Malaysia will get standard features like eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and six airbags. The mid and higher range will get LED headlamps with DRLs, remote engine start, walk away auto lock, 17-inch two-tone alloys and chrome door handles.
