The 2016 Himalayan Dash planned by Cougar Motorsports will take place from 2nd July to 12th July. In its 7th edition, the annual event gives people a chance to take their own cars and experience the Himalayas.
The course for the Himalayan Dash starts in Shimla and ends in beautiful Srinagar. That is a drive of over 1500kms over the 11 days with stops at places like Manali, Leh and Mulbeg. This expedition will give business owners and corporate executives a chance to experience their vehicle’s abilities and enjoy the thrilling drive on the exploratory roads of the Himalayas.
The route will pass through various terrains like cold deserts, mountain passes and valleys. Accommodation on the expedition is also being provided in well-attended locations where participants can relax after the drive. Cougar Motorsport will also provide road books and GPS tracks, coordination of the convoy, arranging local guidance and support from experts. Medical assistance is also being provided with a doctor and an ambulance with oxygen and medical supplies present with the convoy at all times.
In order to participate in the expedition, one must have a valid driving license in India and a car with all legal documents in order. The vehicle can either be 2WD or 4WD. A car with high ground clearance, reliable mechanical systems, good brakes, tyres and battery condition is recommended.
