Hero MotoCorp that recently launched the Maestro Edge automatic scooter, is now gearing up to roll out the Hunk facelift that has been on test for quite sometime now. In fact, the company has dispatched the bike to its dealerships that hints at its early launch. The 2016 Hero Hunk receives new graphics along with minor cosmetic updates.

The new model will continue to feature the existing 149.2cc, single-cylinder air cooled engine that is reported to be tuned for extra power. Similar to the new Xtreme Sport, this engine will deliver an estimated power of 15.6bhp. The latest spyshots reveal that the bike gets new headlights, an updated instrument cluster with a side-stand indicator and mandatory saree guard and crash guards. While the overall design and equipment have been carried forward from the current model.

Since the new Hero Hunk will be more powerful and premium than the existing model, it could be Rs. 3,000 – Rs. 5,000 pricier than what it costs now. Upon its launch, the 2016 Hero Hunk will take on the likes of Yamaha FZ-S, Suzuki Gixxer 155 and Honda’s upcoming Hornet 160.

Besides launching the Hero Hunk facelift, the home-grown bikemaker will also bring-in a couple of automatic scooters including Duet 110cc, Zir 150cc and Dare 125cc. The company has recently unveiled the Duet unisex scooter that will be positioned below the Maestro Edge. With an all-metal body and softer lines, the scooter looks quite attractive. Since the Duet has been officially unveiled, it will soon go on sale.
