      2016 BMW 3-Series launched for Rs 35.90 lakh

      The German automaker BMW has surprised the Indian market with the launch of 2016 3-series in India ahead of its anticipated unveiling at the 2016 Auto Expo event. BMW has launched the 2016 3-Series at a starting price tag of Rs 35,90,000 for the 320d Prestige trim, the 320d Sport Line has been offered for Rs 41,50,000, 320d Luxury Line for Rs 41,50,000 and the 320d M Sport for Rs 44,50,000 (All India, Ex-showroom). For now, the company has only introduced the diesel variants, whereas petrol variants may be introduced at a later date.

      Under the hood, the BMW 3-Series gets a 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo diesel engine that generates about 190 bhp of power and 400 Nm of peak torque. On the design aspect the vehicle comes with full LED headlight clusters and LED taillamps, newly designed 17-inch alloy rims, Chrome accents, AC vents and controls. Moreover, the vehicle also comes with electrically adjustable front seats. The vehicle is capable of attaining a top speed of 230 km/h and does a 0-100 km/h in about 7.2 seconds.
