      2016 Auto Expo: Top 5 UVs

      With the growing demand for UVs, the 2016 Auto Expo was majorly about UV unveils and launches. There are many UVs that have been unveiled. Be it compact, super compact, mid-size and even large. We tell you which are the ones that you should miss out on this Auto Expo. 

       

      Maruti Vitara Brezza: Maruti Suzuki’s answer to the Ford Ecosport, the Vitara Brezza is a sub four-metre SUV that is powered by a 1.3-litre diesel engine and it will be launched mostly by March 2016. The Vitara Brezza is a five-seater SUV that has a boot size of 328 litres and a ground clearance of 198mm. This compact SUV will come loaded with features like keyless entry, push start and stop, reverse parking camera, infotainment system with Apple CarPlay. The Vitara Brezza will be priced between Rs 7 lakhs to Rs 10.5 lakhs.

      Maruti Ignis: This is a super compact SUV that Maruti will be launching and it will be a much smaller vehicle. The Maruti Ignis is based on the new Suzuki platform that is lighter and even rigid. The styling is certainly one of the key selling points for the Ignis. The Ignis will be powered by a range of petrol and diesel engines. This vehicle is still in the concept stage, but it is worth a look as it will be launched by this festive season.

       

      Toyota Innova Crysta: The Toyota Innova Crysta is certainly one of the new UVs that many have been waiting for. This is made on an all-new platform and it is bigger and even lighter than the currently sold Innova. The new Innova has a lot more features and even more space on the inside. The Innova Crysta certainly is more luxurious and at the same time it even offers more powerful and fuel-efficient engines. This new Innova is offering an automatic for the first time.

       

      Chevrolet Beat Activ: The Beat Activ is the cross version of the new-generation Beat. The Chevrolet brand is looking at manufacturing the new Beat in India and the cross version of this Beat will be manufactured here as well. The new Beat Activ ’s launch launch hasn’t been shared yet.

       

      Honda BR-V: Honda’s first affordable SUV for the Indian car market is the BR-V. This SUV is based on the Brio platform and is a seven-seater. The BR-V is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options and one of the biggest USPs is its space for seven people while the competition in this price offer only space for five.
