2016 Auto Expo: Top 5 luxury cars that may steal limelight

Innovative concepts and luxury cars have always stolen limelight at Auto Expo events. This time around we believe that models like Mercedes Benz GLC, BMW 7-series, Audi R8, Jaguar F-Pace and the Jaguar XE would steal limelight at the upcoming event. These cars not just boast about eye-catchy external appearance but also possess powerful engines under its hood.

To begin with Mercedes Benz GLC, the vehicle would be offered in petrol and diesel options in India. The petrol trim would get a 2.0-litre engine, while the diesel comes with 2.1-litre engine that would be mated to 9-speed 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. It is also believed that the top-end variant would indeed be offered with a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.

Recently, German automaker Audi had showcased the second generation of R8 at the Geneva Motor show. This time around the automaker plans on showcasing the much awaited model at the 2016 Auto Expo event in the country. The vehicle powered by 5.2-litre V10 engine with Quattro all-wheel drive indeed makes it more powerful than the older generations.

Bookings for the Jaguar’s F-Pace recently began in Japan. This time around the automaker has planned to showcase the stylish SUV at the 2016 Auto Expo event in India. Internationally, the vehicle is offered in two petrol and three diesel variants. The petrol trim comes with a 3.0-litre V6 supercharged engine, while the diesel comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine. The vehicle comes loaded with all modern safety components to make it stand ahead of the rest in its segment.

The Jaguar XE recently made a grand debut in Malaysia for Rs 55.30 lakh (340,730RM). This time around it would be showcased in India’s biggest automotive event 2016 Auto Expo. Internationally, it gets a 2.0-litre and 3.0-litre V6 engine options. In India too, it is likely that the company may introduce a petrol and diesel engine option. it is said that company may consider localizing its production post a limited run of CBU models in the country.

The 2016 BMW 7-series has held many by fancy of many ever since it was first unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show. The sedan continues to be powered by B57 six-cylinder diesel engine, while the petrol variant gets a 3.5-litre straight six-cylinder unit and a 4.4-litre C8 TwinTurbo engine. The vehicle comes loaded with all modern entertainment and safety features. The vehicle would come mated to 8-speed automatic gearbox.
