The upcoming Tata Zica gained much attention at the 2016 Auto Expo event owing to its interesting style and new engine options. The vehicle was spotted with the same Zica branding that Tata Motors is likely to rechristen it with a new name owing to its similar sounding name to the deadly Zika virus. The ZIca offers a decent amount of cabin space much like its older siblings.
The Tata Zica would be offered in petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol gets a 1.2-litre Revotron engine that generates about 84bhp of power at 6,000rpm and 114Nm of torque at about 3,500 rpm. The 1.05-litre Revotorq diesel engine on the other hand generates about 69bhp of power at 4,000rpm and 140Nm of torque between 1,800 to 3,000 rpm. The vehicle is anticipated to launch only after it has been rebranded. It is anticipated to be priced around Rs 4 lakh.
In terms of features, it is anticipated that he production version may be offered with electrically adjustable ORVM, EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution), telephony enabled steering mounted audio controls, electrically adjustable ORVM, Corner stability control and Harman infotainment system. The current model gets 242-litres of boot space and it is likely that the one on sale could also be offered with the same space.
