Mahindra, a strong brand in the automotive industry showcased its technological potential with a range of performance bikes, cars, concept and electric cars at the Auto Expo 2016. Apart the XUV Aero concept and the E20 electric, the company had also showcased the pure electric eVerito sedan with an automatic transmission for added convenience. The company has projected it as a 100 percent zero emission vehicle that is not just greener but also high on convenience.
Under the hood, the electric eVerito comes with a 72V 3-phase AC induction motor that generates about a modest 41bhp of power and 91Nm of torque. The vehicle comes with a single speed fully automatic transmission. On a full charge, the company claims that on a fully charge and depending on the vehicle load, it returns about 100 kms, which is not too bad given the vehicle weight of about 1700 kgs.
On the design aspect, the vehicle does not get major upgrades except for new electric stickering job. The interiors are fairly decent and get some amount of chrome around the gearbox and dashboard controls. The pricing aspect is unknown for now, it is anticipated to be price around Rs. 10 lakh segment.
