As for CNG options, the company has not been using it on a larger scale owing to lack in proper infrastructure support across cities where it available.

If the new Brio hatchback makes it to India, it would be offered with 1.2-Litre petrol engine option and if at-all a diesel is introduced it could be a 1.1-Litre engine based on the company's i-DTEC line. Apart from a new body shell design, it could also be offered with new set of interesting features. Apart from manual, the next-gen model might also be blessed with automatic option.
