Korean car-maker Hyundai had showcased its stylish luxury sedan rechristened as 'Sonata' in its home grounds just a while ago. The showcased car featured Fluidic Sculpture v2.0 design that has been a forte for the Hyundai family. The Sonata sedan now carries smooth flowing structure and has an European feel to it.
The luxury sedan gets two petrol engine variants. The 2.0 Litre, four-cylinder petrol engine generates about 165.7 bhp of power with 20.5 kgm of torque output, whereas the 2.4 Litre direct-injection, four-cylinder petrol engine generates about 190.4 Bhp of power with 25.2 Kgm of torque. The engines may be mated to optional six-speed manual or six-speed automatic gearbox. As per sources, the vehicle has received greater torsional strength yet lighter than the yesteryear version. Ride quality has been improved with Mac Pherson suspension for the front wheels and multi-link suspension has been used for the rear wheels.
The interiors in the upcoming Sonata from Hyundai carries a dash of elegance and style. The well engineered dynamics has been significantly effective in reduction of noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) levels within the cabin space. The sedan sports interesting features like lane departure warning system, rear-side window blinds, automatic emergency braking, auto-opening boot, blind spot detection and radar-guided cruise control system in place to enhance the overall drive experience. Apart from these, the upcoming Sonata sedan shall also be loaded with safety features like ABS, TCS, EBD, ESP technology. Moreover, the sedan has received smartly positioned LED taillights and Bi-Xenon headlamps.
On the exteriors front, sources have revealed that upcoming version of Hyundai Sonata is stated to be 35 mm longer and 30 mm wider than the yesteryear generation of this luxury sedan. As claimed by the Korean car-maker Hyundai, the Sonata sedan has been designed to offer better driving dynamics.
