Hyundai India has finally launched the 2015 Elantra facelift in the country. Available in a total of seven variants, the vehicle is price between Rs. 14.13 lakh and Rs. 17.94 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The updated model gets design changes to both exteriors and interiors, besides some additional features. Though, it remains unchanged mechanically.
The premium saloon gets new front bumper, chrome grille, projector head-lamps with LED lighting and restyled fog lamps. The wheel arches have been fitted to newly designed 10-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels, while the side belt line gets moulding. It gets electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors and chrome door handles. At the rear, the sedan has new dual-tone bumper, chrome tipped exhaust and new LED effect rear combination lamp.
Inside the cabin, the 2015 Elantra has all-black interior and leather seats to add premium feel to it. The interiors also get metallic scuff plates, aluminum pedal and new central console box with arm rest and rear air conditioning vents.
Mechanically, the sedan remains unchanged. While the petrol model is a 1.8L Dual VTVT unit that churns out 147bhp of power and 178Nm of torque, the oil burner is the 1.6L VGT CRDi unit producing 126bhp of power and 260Nm of torque. Both motors are paired to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.
The 2015 Hyundai Elantra sedan comes equipped with various comfort and convenience features. Features on offer are - auto headlamps, smart key with push button start, electro folding mirrors, auto cruise control, bluetooth with controls on steering, 10-way power seats with lumbar support, new generation touch audio with 4.3” colour TFT LCD, etc.
For passenger safety and security, the sedan has six airbags, vehicle stability management, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, Hill Assist Control, Electro Chromic Mirror, rear view camera and parking sensors, etc.
