Audi India has recently announced that it will launch five new products in the next five months. The first car to be launched in the Indian car market is 2015 Audi TT Coupe. The new TT will go on sale in India on April 23, 2015.

The new-generation Audi TT is based on the modified MQB platform, which makes it 50kg lighter than the previous model. The wheelbase of the car has been increased by 37mm, which contributes to its cabin space. In India, the Audi TT 45 TFSI variant will be introduced which gets a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing a top power output of 230bhp and a peak torque of 370Nm. The vehicle is also available in powerful TTS version, which offers 310PS of top power and 380Nm of peak torque.

This engine is paired to a six-speed DSG gearbox which sends power to all-wheels via Audi's Quattro AWD system. The car accelerates to 100kmph from zero in just 5.3 seconds and hits a top speed of 253kmph. It shares styling cues with the Audi Prologue concept. The car has larger grille, flanked by angular headlamps and larger air-ducts. It features Audi's Virtual Cockpit with a new digital display that will double up as the infotainment and navigation system. Also on offer is the jet-turbine like air-con vents that has integrated controls for the temperature regulation.

The new Audi TT, which is manufactured at Audi's Hungarian plant, will come as CBU (Completely Built-up Unit) unit. If reports are to be believed, the company might also introduce the diesel version of the TT sportscar but at a later stage.
