Inside the cabin, the auto maker has equipped new 3-spoke steering wheel, silver inserts could be seen on the centre console and new font types for the instrument. As mentioned above, Volkswagen is likely to add a new engine in the diesel line up of Polo. Industry insiders opine that a new 1.5 litre, four cylinder, diesel powertrain could power the diesel Polo. The new 1.5 litre engine will offer varied power outputs of 80 Bhp and 104 Bhp respectively. High end diesel trims of Polo could get ‘GT TDI’.

Petrol range of Polo is likely to continue being powered with the same 1.2 litre naturally-aspirated three-cylinder engine and a 1.2-liter TSI four-cylinder motor. The former engine is expected to come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox while the latter is expected to come paired with a seven-speed DSG transmission.
