Nissan India is all set to showcase their much anticipated Sunny facelift at 2014 Indian Auto Expo in February. Launched first in 2010, this will be the first time when the Sunny will get a major design makeover. Wearing the new grille, redesigned front bumper, headlamps and other styling updates, the Sunny facelift looks more matured and sportier.

The interior is carried over from the existing Sunny, but is certainly up-market with better plastic quality, additional storage spaces, reverse camera, airbags and several rich features. The fit and finish will be better than before. The top-end variant will have more to offer. The sedan will offer the class-leading legroom for rear passengers.

The 2014 Sunny will have no mechanical updates, therefore, the existing 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel mills will continue to power the car. However, the engines might be tuned for better fuel efficiency. The diesel unit will be coupled to a five-speed manual transmission, while the petrol motor will be offered with both an automatic CVT transmission and a five-speed manual gearbox options.

The Japanese automaker ‘Nissan’ will showcase the new Terrano and facelifted Micra at the event, which were launched in 2013. Rumour has it, the company might also bring the Nissan Sunny's prices down, in order to make it an even more affordable product to buy. However, the company hasn't yet officially said anything on this.
