      2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class launch in India soon

      Mercedes-Benz India, a wholly owned subsidiary of the German luxury automotive marque, is believed to be working towards the launch of its 2014 E-Class saloon in the domestic market on June 25, 2013. The new E-Class facelift model made its global debut at the 2013 Detroit auto salon and comes equipped with several enticing exterior and interior modifications.

      The 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class luxury saloon flaunts the German auto maker's next generation design language and would easily become the most sophisticated model in its category of premium vehicles. The E-Class facelift comes equipped with several design changes and looks like the most refined creation from the house of Mercedes-Benz in recent times. According to industry experts, the burgeoning competition from BMW 5-Series and Audi A6 luxury cars had forced the 'Three Pointed Star' maker to look at introducing the new E-Class in the Indian auto market.

      Speaking of exterior design changes in the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the luxury saloon gets reworked front grille and headlamps, which represent the company's new design philosophy. The big Three Pointed Star insignia looks both bold and classy at the same time, besides entailing the vehicle with a massive presence on road. The front bumpers have been redesigned and LED daytime running lights have been integrated with the headlamp assembly. Industry experts have said that the new Merc E-Class luxury saloon sits on top as the most sophisticated car in its class. The tailgate has been remodelled and features integrated sharp looking tail lights, along with new exhaust tips. The interior setting of E-Class does justice to its make and conform to the standards expected from a Mercedes-Benz vehicle. The soon-to-be launched luxury saloon also gets new steering wheel, dashboard and an aluminium finish throughout the interior cabin space.

      Under its hood, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift range would come equipped with the same engines present in the outgoing models. There would be four petrol and three diesel trim levels available in the market. The vehicles would be rear-wheel driven, where petrol and diesel engines would come assimilated with seven-speed automatic and five-speed automatic gearboxes, respectively. Other big improvements in the new E-Class luxury saloon are expected to be reworked instrument console, an updated version of COMAND multimedia infotainment system and engine Start/Stop technology. As per industry sources, the German auto maker would be assembling the 2014 E-Class range at its Chakan manufacturing facility near Pune, Maharashtra.
