      2012 Porsche Boxsters first images unveiled, global launch scheduled for April

      The Germany based leading luxury car maker Porsche has revealed the pictures of the third generation version of its Boxster model. These are the first official images of the all new Porsche Boxster ahead of its showcase at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in the month of March.

      According to the company, the sales of all new Boxster model will be commenced in a number of global market from April 28th. The car will be blessed with a more spacious 911-style interior and a lightweight aluminium body. The car will be offered in two engine options, which will basically be two classic horizontally-opposed six-cylinder engines of Porsche. Both of these engines will be carrying improved power output along with an improved fuel economy. While the improvement in the power output will be up to 10 bhp, the fuel economy will be seeing a surge of up to 15 percent.

      The car will be carrying a considerably change in its design, catered by the Porsche’s designing team, headed by Michael Mauer. The car will now be hosting larger wheel houses where the wheels of even 20’’ diameter can be accommodated. While the doors of the new car are longer, the length of wheelbase has also been increased. The rear portion of the car gives an impression of Porsche’s classic 911 ducktail model.
