      In the year 2011, the Indian car market witnessed a large-scale upgradation through the introduction of new car models. Many big automobile manufacturers unveiled cars belonging to various segments like sedans, hatchbacks and sports utility vehicles (SUVs). Market leaders namely, Toyota, Maruti Suzuki, Nissan and Ford could be seen competing with each other in the market with great intensity. Among a host of vehicles that rolled-out in the market, some deserve a special mention.

      The XUV500, was Mahindra’s attempt for a “Global” SUV. The XUV500 is packed with tons of features. Pricing matched with the looks and the features made Mahindra exhausted of its bookings. Bookings for the XUV500, which had been stopped, would re-commence in January 2012.
