      19 year old Iraqi student dies on spot in a fatal crash near Bangalore airport

      An Iraqi student's joy ride on the way to the Nandi Hills unfortunately turned out to be his last, when the motorcycle he was driving crashed into another two-wheeler near the Bangalore airport on September 24, 2012. The unlucky casualty was identified as Mustafa Azim, a nineteen year old B. Pharma student at East Point College.

      Being in Bangalore for just about an year, the Iraq born Mustafa Azim and his two other friends went on a road trip to the Nandi Hills on two motorcycles. The fatal mishap happened when he missed a road bump near Kote Junction on the National Highway-7 and lost the control over his motorbike and hit the bike of his friend directly from behind. According to the patrolling police, the crash threw Azim off his bike, killing him on the spot while his friend Chickchik, who rode the pillion seat, suffered several serious injuries.

      The loss marked another chapter in fatalities arising from the bad conditions of Indian roads. Accordingly, the mishap underlines a serious undertone regarding the government's disregard for suitable road conditions.
