The GLE 250 CDI will return about 9-11km/l in the city depending on your driving style. This is the efficiency for the smallest engine, however the V6 is a bit more efficient. The GLE-Class has a 93-litre tank, which is good enough for long trips.

The GLE-Class offers a luxurious cabin that comes loaded with several bells and whistles, making it one of the most feature loaded SUV n its segment. The features are 20.3cm screen with COMAND online, touchpad, three-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof being the standard features on the GLE 350 CDI. The interiors of the GLE have been revived completely from what it was there in the M-Class, mostly inspired by GL-Class.

The exterior styling of the GLE-Class are inspired from the GL-Class, and the new fascia looks very much any other new-generation Mercedes-Benz. The array of LEDs that are flowing around and the chunky chrome grille blend perfectly. Despite being a facelift, the GLE-Class looks so different from the ML-Class, despite having the same chassis and similar panels.

The GLE-Class is available with two engine options, first is the 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces about 204bhp and 500Nm of maximum torque. This is the most commonly used Mercedes-Benz diesel engine in India and it has good performance and decent fuel efficiency too. This engine comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The second engine is a bigger diesel, which is a 3.0-litre V6 and this churns about 258bhp and 620Nm. This is also a nine-speed 9G-TRONIC transmission. This engine is fast and is more about performance, while the efficiency isn’t as high as the 250CDI.
