Maserati made its debut in Indian automotive market in year 2011 but retracted two years later.  However, considering the rising demand of its cars in India it decided to touch Indian strings again in July 2015 and also announced opening of its three state-of-the-art dealerships in our country. Maserati is selling all its models in India which includes Ghibli Diesel, Quattroporte GTS petrol, Quattroporte diesel, GranCabrio, and GranTurismo.

      Founder & First Car

The brand Maserati was set up by five Maserati brother: Ettore, Emesto, Carlo, Bindo, and Alfieri in December 1914. The eldest among them was Carlos who was also a mechanical genius and used to build single cylinder engines for cycles used in races. He started his career with Fiat and later worked for Junio Car Company.  He passed away at a early age and his brother Alfieri later took on his automotive pat manufacturing work ahead in 1910. The emblem for the company was designed by their sixth brother Mario Maserati. The symbol remained Maserati’s logo for more than 8 decades. In 1932, when Alfieri died, the remaining three brothers took over the company and were already on their way to building sports cars. The first Maserati car was manufactured in 1926 which also won the 1926 Targa Florio. In 1937, the three brothers sold the company to Adolfo Orsi and its manufacturing unit was relocated in Modena. During the Second World War the Italian car maker halted production of its car. Post the war, it came up with the Maserati A6 series that was very successful in market.
