I was looking for a compact car in A2 segment

By Zarar Ahmed on 11 November 2011

I was looking for a compact car in A2 segment, which could provide me value for money. Hence, I went ahead and purchased a Maruti WagonR Vxi. The revamped edition of WagonR that has ample space and style, gives me a sense of ownership. The family car embodies everything in context of technology, interiors and appearance and styling at a low price tag. The car has been running quite smoothly from last year, with absolutely no maintenance expense.

WagonR Vxi is assembled with highly fuel efficient 998 cc K-series engine, delivering a mileage of 19 kmpl. Assimilation of new three-cylinder K-series engine of 998 cc displacement has improved power output to 66 bhp at 6200 rpm and increased peak torque to 90 Nm at 3500 rpm. This high-performance engine is combined with a streamlined cable type gearshift mechanism and superior suspension technology. Due to this technical collaboration, outstanding on-road performance can be attained.

Pegged as the 'blue-eyed boy' of the great Indian family, WagonR has been styled with a contrasting blue tinge on its head lamps. The revised edition of earlier WagonR has aggressive front, featuring large sweeping lamps, wider bumpers that stretch to the corners and flared fenders. These exterior features match slanted roof and the aerodynamic construction defines appearance of WagonR. Interiors of the compact car are as appealing as exteriors due to the subtle blue-silver interior theme. Its dash-integrated music console with Aux-in and 6 band graphic equalizer reflects freshness. Tilt-adjustable steering wheel, vanity mirror in sun visor, fog lamps, security system and body coloured outside door handles are some of the distinguishing features of Maruti WagonR Vxi.
