Overall Comments

The new Wagon-R does a great job in fashion contest compared to the previous versions.Although people often find it stubby looking but i am quite satisfied with what suzuki has overall done with the car.The car looks handsome from all the angles especially in the fully loaded VXi trim. With large windows all over the driver is in a commanding position at all times.Fog lamps come handy in wintry mornings.Roof rails do their job quite smartly as well giving the car a complete sporty look. The best thing about the design is that it suits every age group driving the car.

The interiors are just as good as the exteriors, adequately loaded with features you expect from a car at this price. The 3 spoke steering wheel is a pleasant welcome into the cabin. The music system sits neatly onto the dashboard with adequate sized buttons aiding the driving to change channels.AC controls are also precisely positioned. The gear lever though is a far reach when tall drivers push the seat full back. Not a big problem though. What i love about the interiors is the roomy feel and the airy cabin. There is no lack of space, headroom or legroom, and that is something you don't expect from a car of this segment. The dashboard quality is premium and the cup holders for driver and co-passengers are really useful. The AC although feels under powered under heavy duty conditions and that should be addressed by the company.Overall the fit and finish is perfect and no signs of ageing can be seen.

The ride quality of Wagon-R is a mixed package. At city speed it eats up the bumps quite smartly.Until u strike 80 everything seems normal but push harder and the rear passengers complain for bumpy ride. This can be attributed to the height of the car and the small wheels. The suspension has been tuned for city ride and rightly so.Driving your hatch at 100 kmph is not a regular deal and so under normal working conditions the car feels a good place to be in.A huge set back though is the huge body roll at tight corners and can be attributed to the high C.G.Well to summarize the ride quality is only suitable for city driving.

Overall the Wagon-R is a very capable car in its segment for a family of tall people. The space it offers is superb. The ride and handling is adequate for daily use and spirited driving on sundays won't upset u much either. The engine is peppy combined with a great gear box,a huge improvement from the old wagon-r.Overall a great package at this price point.
